Welcome to the CSO Knowledge Centre.

This is more than a collection of articles. It is the beginning of a living library built from more than 30 years of real experience in Canadian surrogacy, egg donation, family building, matching, loss, hope, advocacy, and love.

Some of what you find here will answer practical questions. How does surrogacy work in Canada? What does it cost? Who can become a surrogate? What should intended parents know before they begin?

Some of it will go deeper. Into the stories, the hard lessons, the changing laws, the medical realities, the relationships, and the quiet moments that shape this work long before a baby is placed into someone's arms.

Canadian Surrogacy Options was built on the belief that people deserve clear information, honest guidance, and compassionate support. That belief started with Joanne Wright, Canada's first surrogate and the founder of CSO, and it continues today as we rebuild, preserve, and share the knowledge gathered across decades of helping families come together.

Our goal is simple: to make surrogacy and egg donation easier to understand, easier to navigate, and less lonely for everyone involved.

Whether you are an intended parent, a surrogate, an egg donor, a professional, a journalist, or someone just beginning to learn what this world is all about, you are welcome here.

Follow along as we grow this library, recover our history, answer the questions people are afraid to ask, and work toward transforming the surrogacy and egg donation world through knowledge, transparency, and care.
