Give a Family the Gift of a Lifetime
Surrogacy is one of the most profound things a woman can do. We've been here since 1992 and we'll be with you every step of the way.
Take the 3-Minute QuizIf you are doing your homework, that is a good thing.
A lot of women take a serious pause before they apply. They Google. They ask hard questions. They want to know who they are trusting. We respect that.
What matters most to us is how we show up now: with honest answers, careful matching, real support, and direct access to Robyn and the team.
If you are a fit, we will tell you. If you are not, we will tell you that honestly too.
56 families are waiting right now.
You could be the one who changes everything for them.
This Is Personal for Me
“My mom, Joanne Wright, was Canada's first surrogate. She founded this agency in 1992 because she believed surrogates deserved real support, not just paperwork. I grew up inside this world, and today my team includes women who have carried journeys themselves. When you have a 2am worry, the person answering has actually been where you are.”~ Robyn Price, Executive Director
Because It's Always the First Question
And you deserve a straight answer. In Canada, surrogacy is altruistic by law. Surrogates cannot be paid a fee. What you receive instead is reimbursement for your pregnancy-related expenses, so the journey never costs you anything out of pocket.
What's typically reimbursed:
- Maternity clothing
- Travel to appointments
- Groceries and nutrition
- Childcare during appointments
- Lost wages, where eligible
If you are looking for income, this is not that, and we would rather tell you now than waste your time. If you are called to do this and want to be fully covered so it never costs you anything, that is exactly what reimbursement is for, and we help you administer it properly so everything stays compliant with Canadian law.
You May Be a Fit If…
- You have had at least one healthy pregnancy and birth
- You have a stable support system at home
- You want to do this for the right reasons, and you know what yours are
- You are ready for real medical screening, legal protection, and honest conversation before anything proceeds
You'll Never Do This Alone

What It's Actually Like
“Being a surrogate was the most meaningful thing I've ever done. CSO made sure I felt supported, informed, and valued the whole way through.”
CSO Surrogate, Ontario“I love the support from the team members. Everyone is supported no matter the problem. We truly are a family.”
CSO Surrogate“Robyn takes the time to get to know you and has your best interest at heart. She is always available if you need her.”
CSO Surrogate“CSO is a close knit family and leaves you feeling valued.”
CSO SurrogateThat does not mean no.
Most women who become amazing surrogates did not start out 100% certain. They started with a few honest questions.
What if I am not sure I qualify?
That is exactly why the quiz is here. Start there first. It is quick, private, and gives you a better sense of whether this could be a fit.
What if I am worried about support?
You should be. Surrogacy is too important to do with vague promises. We believe in direct communication, careful matching, and real support from first question to final match.
What if I just want honest answers first?
Then ask. We would rather give you a truthful answer now than have you move forward with the wrong expectations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I get paid?
No. Canadian law makes surrogacy altruistic. You are reimbursed for pregnancy-related expenses so the journey never costs you anything, but there is no fee or salary. See "The Money Question, First" above for the honest breakdown.
Do I get to choose the family?
Yes, truly. Based on your application, we hand-pick intended parent profiles for you to read, and you choose from those. You are never assigned a family and never left to scroll a database alone. Nothing proceeds without your genuine yes.
Do I need to have had my own children?
Yes. A previous healthy pregnancy and birth is required by clinics across Canada.
Who pays for everything?
The intended parents. Medical costs, your independent lawyer, and your reimbursed expenses. You should never be out of pocket.
Does this affect my job or my own family?
Lost wages may be reimbursable where eligible. Most surrogates carry while working and parenting their own kids. We help you plan around your real life, and your family is part of the conversation from the start.
What does the time commitment look like?
From application to birth typically spans matching, screening, legal, transfer, and then pregnancy. We move at a pace that works for your life.
Can I say no to a family, or change my mind before I am matched?
Yes, and yes. You are a volunteer doing something extraordinary, not an employee. Nothing proceeds without your genuine yes at every stage.
What if I have questions before applying?
Email us and a real person answers, usually someone who has been a surrogate herself. But you do not need a call to apply. The application is not a commitment, it is a conversation starter.
Why do you turn so many applicants away?
Because thirty-plus years taught us that a great journey starts with a truly ready surrogate. Being selective is how we protect you, not just the families.
